At Dentistry of West Bend, Dr. Harding and his staff employ the latest technology to provide you with the most advanced dental care available.
High-power microscopes
We use high power microscopes similar to those used by ophthalmologists to ensure maximum precision in creating dental restorations, ensuring a superior fit and finish. We also use these microscopes to direct a beam of light onto the teeth, reducing glare for the patient.
Electric hand-pieces
We use electric hand-pieces or drills that are superior to the commonly used manual ones, as these help us produce extremely precise interfaces between your tooth and your new restoration, be it a filling, tooth veneer, crown, or bridge. This also ensures superior comfort for the patient thanks to a reduction in noise and vibration.
Digital radiography
Digital radiography is imaging that uses digital X-ray sensors to produce enhanced computer images of the teeth, gums, and oral cavity. This technology helps our team diagnose, treat, and maintain our patients’ dental health by helping to detect problems both above and below the gum line.
Digital images help Dr. Harding to assess the bone level, examine the roots and nerves of your teeth, diagnose cavities, cysts, tumors, and other lesions, and assess damage in case of trauma or injury.
Digital imaging also saves time, as digital exposure takes half the time of conventional radiographs. Digital imaging also permits us to archive patient images and transfer them to specialists or insurance companies quickly and easily.
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays offer greater precision than their conventional counterparts, allowing us to view the image on a computer monitor, instead of having to hold slides up against the light. Digital X-rays also reduce radiation exposure to 1/6th the level of conventional X-Rays.
Intraoral camera
Dr. Harding also utilizes an intraoral camera that delivers clear, precise images of the mouth, teeth, and gums, to help us make a more precise and informed diagnosis. These clearly defined and enlarged images help us see details that we may miss during standard mirror examinations.
Images from intraoral cameras also enable us to save your images as part of your history and record of treatments. These images can be printed or transmitted digitally to you, other specialists, a lab, or insurance companies.
3-D Printing
